The Page is at Court to learn the intricacies of court life, politics and to develop the associations and friendships he will probably use all his life. In today's modern society, although much older, the college student going off to school is very representative of the Page. In college affiliations are formed that last a lifetime and it is there that young adults learn the finer social skills from their peer group, developing upon the foundation given to them by their parents.
The Page may seem lonely or wistful, shy or sly, but he (or she) is always depicted as a youth yet to grow into the promise of his manhood (or her womanhood). In many decks that favor feminine energy, the Pages are represented in their female form as Princesses.
The Page is there to be receptive. To learn one must open one's mind and be receptive to the information being imparted. The Page speaks of learning. Whether called demi-Knight, Prince, Princess, Knave, Rogue or Page, the energy is that of the feminine receptive.
The growth played out in the numerical cards of the individual suit is continued in the court cards. With the Page we begin a new cycle of learning and life. The Page represents the need seen from the fruit of harvest from the journey or progression shown in the numbered suit. If Page has shown up in your spread today make sure to check the cycle of the suit to which it belongs. The helpful Page tells us we have some learning to do!
The Pages may also show opinions, thoughts or ideas that are either in harmony with, or directly opposed to the subject of the reading. Remember to study the element to which the Page is aligned to get the most information out of the Pages' message. If the page represents a physical person the indication is for a younger person with color close to that of the Page you see in the spread.
