TALISMAN:

a charm, amulet, or object believed to be imbued with magical powers of protection against evil. (see amulet) Back to Top

TAROT (CARDS):

a set of 78 cards including the Major Arcana of 22 cards and the Minor Arcana of 56 cards - Ace through King used for self-introspection or divination purposes. Tarot cards come in a variety of forms from Angel Cards to Zoroastrian Tarot. Back to Top

TELEKINESIS:

moving objects with the power of the mind alone. Back to Top

TELEPATHY:

direct communication from mind to mind without the five human senses being used. Back to Top

THIRD EYE:

one who has opened their Third Eye are said to have the powers of psychic ability, the ability to see the future, and many claim extrasensory perception as well. The Third Eye is an important step toward enlightenment. Back to Top

TOUCHED:

someone who is touched has been affected by a resident of the spirit realm. One who is demented is also referred to as touched. Back to Top

U

UNION OF OPPOSITES:

Concept in may believe systems that the attainment of self-realization requires once to transcend the internal duality inherent in the human nature as represented by the masculine and feminine. Back to Top

UNDERWORLD:

The realm or domain beneath the earth where it was/is believed that souls first travel to upon death of the physical body. Back to Top

UNIVERSAL MIND:

In some believe systems it is the mind of the Supreme Being (God) which permeates all that is.Back to Top

V

VALHALLA:

The hall of Odin, Scandinavian God, where warriors and heroes who were killed in battle feasted and drank among the Valkyrie awaiting their return for Ragnarok. Back to Top

VOODOO:

polytheistic belief system primarily practiced in Haitian and African cultures using charms, curses, fetishes and other devices for the practice of the belief. Because of some of it's darker practices, Voodoo is also used to refer to someone who performs spells and necromancy. Back to Top

VORTEX:

a swirling eddy much like a river sidewater, that occurs in the metaphysical plane in which it is believed that one can travel through space or time. Back to Top
