WARLOCK:

WHAMMY:

to put a whammy on someone is to hex them, curse them or jinx them. Back to Top

WHITE MAGIC:

magic employed only to do good; in other words white magic *never* tries to change the mind or thoughts of another. Practitioners of White Magic primarily believe that that which is done must be done for good and positive reasons. Back to Top

WICCA:

a traditional paganistic belief system in which white magic or non-evil witchcraft is sometimes used. Wicca practitioners hold Mother Earth sacred in their belief and tend to and care for her as part of their belief system. Back to Top

WITCH:

a female who practices the art of witchcraft. Back to Top

WITCHCRAFT:

spells, formulas, equipment, incantations and rituals performed by a witch (or warlock) in the performance of their craft. Back to Top

WRAITH:

the shadow self (ghost) of a person who is alive; normally wraiths are seen during the dying process just before the person passes from the earthly realm. Some belief systems feel that the wraith of an individual is their guide during their crossing over. Back to Top

XENOGLOSSIA:

the ability to speak or instantaneously master a new language. Back to Top

XENOLOGY:

the study of the cutting edge of parapsychology and psychical research, normally which remains scientifically unproven because the scientific method of reproducing the exact same circumstances to test a hypothesis is impossible. Back to Top

XEPER:

Magical word of the New Aeon (Temple of Set). "the experience of an individual psyche becoming aware of its own existence and deciding to expand and evolve that existence through its own actions." Back to Top

Y

YGGDRASIL:

sacred ash tree upon whose branches Odin hung and received the runes. Scandinavian mythology. Yggdrasil was said to have it's roots in Hel (the first level of the mythology) through Midgard (the earthern realm), to branch out through the mountain Asgrad where we see it's leaves as the clouds and it's fruit the stars. Z

ZODIAC:

the pathway of the planets, sun, moon and stars across the heavens as seen from the perspective of plant earth. This pathway is divined into the twelve astrological signs of the Zodiac. Back to Top

ZOMBIE:

relating to Voodoo practice - a snake spirit. It can also relate to a corpse brought back to life or the force which causes the corpse to come back to life. Zombies are not sentient and in control of themselves, they are believed to be under the control of the person(s) who raised them from the dead. Back to Top
